About Chris

Chris Koprowski is an American voice actor and narrator based in Tokyo, where he has resided for over two decades. A permanent resident of Japan, Chris has become a trusted voice for some of the country’s most recognized brands, voicing commercials, corporate films, educational content, documentaries, and video games.

Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Chris grew up immersed in performance, appearing in musicals, school plays, and community theater, while also singing in choirs and even a barbershop quartet. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with majors in philosophy and psychology, he moved to Tokyo to study Japanese and continue his lifelong practice of aikido.

Chris’s voiceover journey began with narrating English textbooks and exams for local publishers. With top-level coaching and decades of professional experience, he has since built a career as a full-time voice talent.

Beyond the studio, Chris enjoys traveling, yoga, swimming, and continuing his aikido training. He is also the Chief Instructor of Seidokan Aikido of Tokyo, a community he has led for many years.
